Donald Demers, our 2019 Awards Judge for EnPleinAirTEXAS, will showcase past EnPleinAirTEXAS paintings owned by local collectors for this exceptional talk FREE & open to the public!
So how do you know when or why a painting is really ‘exceptional’? Is there more to it than just the fact that you like it? What if you’ve never taken an art lesson in your life? Awards Judge Donald Demers will help you ‘step behind the paint and the brush-strokes’ and discover why some paintings captivate us immediately.
Demers is considered to be one of the finest marine and landscape painters in America. In addition, he has the extraordinary ability to communicate his feelings about a particular work he is viewing in an easy manner that captivates and educates those new to the art world as well as seasoned collectors.
Don firmly believes that art is for everyone and will help us all look at paintings and artists in a new light. You will leave with a new respect for and perhaps a growing interest in the paintings you have in your homes, and the paintings you see during the phenomenal En PleinAirTEXAS event.
